Located in Cayambe, Ecuador at the foothills of the imposing Cayambe Volcano, about an hour drive from Quito, our farms are right on the equator at the exact latitude of 0. By virtue of their location they experience the quickest rates of sunrise and sunset in the world with almost 12 full hours of constant sunlight everyday of the year. Such prolonged exposure to sunlight, combined with the richness of the volcanic soil at an altitude of 9,200 feet and the average temperature of 55 degrees Fahrenheit throughout the year, provides truly unique conditions for the cultivation of roses.

Our Farms, 250 acres houses a total of 124 acres of greenhouse that ensures the optimal temperature for the growth and development of the rose plants throughout day and night. Such unique conditions, together with our constant dedication to the environment and to the well being of those who work there are no doubt reasons why six of the top rose breeders in the world have chosen our farms as the location of their only showrooms in Ecuador. Although Flowerlink officially opened for business in Southern California in 2004, our roots go back almost two decades to the time our farms were started in Ecuador in the early 1990s. During these years our farms had sold fresh cute roses directly to wholesalers around the world but had very little contact with its end clients, the customers that ultimately took the roses home. In the sales process our roses would often change hands several times between middlemen and intermediaries, shortening the life of every stem and thus diminishing the value of a truly unique product. Therefore we decided to eliminate the middlemen, and open shop in Los Angeles bringing our product - the best roses in the world- directly to florist & high end buyers with no stops or delays in between. Since then our goal has been to provide you with the freshet, newest and highest quality roses in the world, in the shortest amount of time, between the moment the stem is cut from the plant to the moment it is delivered.

Our farms adhere to the strictest environmental and labor standards in the world. Our roses are the product of our rich natural environments and are borne from the labor of our employees. As such, we take both very seriously and work tirelessly to ensure we take care of them. Our farms in Cayambe employ 700 workers, and are the sole sources of employment for many families in the region. Their growth and prosperity have represented opportunity self reliance and higher living standards for many in the area. Aside from safe and fair work environment they offer the following employees:

- Free access to basic healthcare such as diagnostic testing, vaccination and preventing. The farms medical centers are staffed by doctors and healthcare professionals.
- Free dental care. Together with a handful of other farms in the region our farms sponsor a mobile dental care center and lab that provides onsite subsidized care and treatment.
- Free transportation to and from the farms throughout the region.
- Free child care. Our Farms pioneers in the region offering free child care to its workers children between the ages of 1 and 8. The child center is staffed by child care professionals and teachers are available to all working parents at the farms.
